I have no clue what to offer him on it. Is $450 to much for that tractor?

If I had an 1811 in good condition around my parts and I could score it for $450 or less, you bet your butt I'd be on that like white on rice. I love my 129 but I wouldn't hesitate for a second to sell it for an 1811, especially if it's got any options (deck, 3pt, blade, etc).

Edit: But that's just me, I would love to have one because they are solid, proven machines and it's about my favorite body style. Then again, I don't think you'll get much argument from people around here that $450 is a good price.

I would try to get him to give you a price then you can work from there.
How many hours are on it? Looks like it is missing the grill and maybe hdlts. Hard to tell from the pic.

Bummed out. He sold it for $450 to a person in his town. I never find those good deals in time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
