Keep looking on ebay for the dash, one will turn up...OR...

Check out our sponsor vendors, Patton Acres for instance is likely to have a dash for it. For the wiring harness, at least 2 reproduction outfits are making outstanding replacements for our old Cubs. One sells on ebay, and another is a fellow who I believe is a member of these boards. These new wiring harnesses are worth every penny.

1. Headlights pop up for sale frequently , but usually kind of expensive .. $100 - $175

2. Creepers show up alot also , in my opinion no need for one unless you have a tiller or blower , then i would want a Hydrostat. Just my .02 on a creeper.

3. Try your hand at fixing it before you buy a good one ??

4. As mentioned , there are quality wiring harness's for sale.

#1 How hard is it to find a set of headlights for the 126?

#2 How hard is it to find creeper for it? Is it worth having?

#3 *most important* I need to find a new fiberglass dash for her. The other side is cracked - ebay didnt help much

#4 where do i find a wiring harness??
While there have been a few headlight panels come up for sale here at OCC, they often come with a outstanding price tag. Its a shear wonder in this day of age, that there is a hidden technology used in making your own panel for a lot less. I have never tried, but rather came up with my own idea of a custom lighting system for my 71, as shown here:

Under drive units also often come up for sale here at OCC. Those sell for 150. to 175. depending on condition. A back ground knowledge on the unit itself will benefit you in many ways. The first benefit will be knowing what to look for in the unit as far as any cracks, worn parts, missing parts, ect. . Over all, I think the creeper is a good option to have if you plan on using a snow blower. It also serves great as a cool factor! Keep in mind, the gear drive tractor you have are far superior to the hydro drive in terms of pulling power, pushing power, and reliability. The cons of the GD compared to the hydro are relative at best.

I would, and always recommend Chris Westfall: owner operator of Cub Cadet Classics in Ohio. He is a OCC sponsor. Chances are, this company would have your dash tower as well.

I don't know about the new wire harness, but if I was going to purchase one, I would ask that there be wired in to the harness a volt meter hook up, if your tractor don't already require one.

I emailed both of said vendors on the site and have not heard anything baco for quite a few days now. As to someones previous comment about creeper - I do have a blower for the 126 and I usually will throwitt on when I get the deep stuff. Its the qa 42 I believe. The rest of the time my three wheeler plows the driveway

Try a phone call. A lot of parts places I've dealt with won't/don't know how to check email, or they take forever.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
