ups and fedex suck compared to usps if you ask me

There is one UPS, there are two Fex-Exs'.

For me, Fed-Ex and UPS are identical.

Fex-Ex Ground has the shortcomings.

Fex-Ex Ground trucks are independently owned, the drivers are contractors.

Hence, the differences.

At least, around here, that is the situation,,,,,,,,,,,

You must have some special connection to USPS. I have never had any good luck with these people. I can't tell you how many packages have been delivered extremely late or simply vanished into thin air, that I have experienced.

I too am a fan of USPS, Fed ex will not even pick up in my rual town, they want me to drive 60 mile to drop it off to them. UPS is almost 40% more for the same package as USPS here in my town. they figure they are the only shipper so they crank up the prices.

so I tend not to use either fed ex or ups. and is a supplier really want your money they will send it USPS.

Now if is over 70 pounds I only have one option, so UPS deliveries. sending out over 70 pounds, well it just don't happen so me anyhow

USPS all the way

Usps has cost me a fortune destroying way over packed items that they have to beat with a bat to break. I don't know how else they could break them. Now they offer free insurance which is nice but they've already cost me too much and refused to honor it for me to side with them.
FedEx is super fast but will throw charges on your account that you can't fight and don't know about. I shipped a plow to a fellow member recently for $40 or so and I see a $144 charge on my account saying it actually weighed 149 lbs and was a 72x36 box oversized. If FedEx didn't do this to me on a regular basis I would have never checked and been screwed out of $100 for nothing, something I couldn't afford. This is far from the first time they've done this and apparently it's a common scam for them. This is the first time they reversed it for me though after I had to rigorously fight it.
Ups doesn't pull this crap but they're pickup charge is $9 instead of 3 for FedEx and I'm not close to a drop off. That's why I personally ship FedEx but don't ship as much as i used to just in case. Too much risk of overcharge for me.

My friend has UPS stop by twice a day for pickups/drops and he has the UPS program on a computer that figures cost and prints labels. (And he hasn't charged me for shipping anything yet). But they have all been small things.

UPS had a deal going with USPS and sometimes leave packages there.

I'm don't like USPS much for the same reason, we've had them lose stuff a lot, like a 50 pound belt pulley gearbox Fed-Ex isn't bad, but I've tracked stuff that should be delivered and it says " not delivered, inclement weather" On a sunny day! in our area I prefer UPS

Same here, I lean towards Fed-ex just because (for me) they seem quicker and I've had some mis-cared for packages come through UPS.

Some news show a while back did a compairison shipping 100 fragile items thru each USPS-Fedx-UPS USPS was by far the best and FedX worst
Fedx is so busy shipping illegal drugs to dealers ( my former neighbors)
that they likely don't care about real businesses
A neighbors grandkid works there FEDX and he says they either quickly like you and you are set ( like him) or don't and you are screwed.

Around here Fed-Ex trucks trimmed in red are the real Fed-Ex.

Trucks trimmed in green are labeled "Fed-Ex Ground"

Typically the red trucks move air delivered packages, green deliver "trucked" packages.



Two totally different delivery systems, with no cross-over.
