Thanks just checked the tracking number and the switch should be here Saturday.
As far as the actuator it's a Warner 1000lb dynamic 2000lb static load actuator. The bracket is just a piece of 1/4" plate that I drilled a couple holes in to match up with existing holes in the frame. I welded a stick of 1-1/4"x3/16" flat stock about 6" long to the plate and drilled a 1/2" hole to that. The rear of the actuator is hooked up to here using a 1/2" bolt and 2 nuts to sandwich the 3/16" flat stock On the front I used the top hole of the implement lift bracket to mount the end of the actuator with a 1/2" diameter bolt.

Nice find, looks like a great replacement option. As an aside, anyone have a club how much lift the original IH actuators were rated for?

You can go on the Johnny Bucket website and get lifts like that also....They have normal and fast acting (More money of course) lifts.

I really like this actuator idea, I have a 147 on my wish list and this is probably the route I would go! can't wait to see it in action.

I have a spring assist on my tractor so this thing isn't even working to move the mower deck up and down. I need to put the back blade on the sleeve hitch and see how that works once I get the switch. I'm taking the deck off tonight and changing oil and I'll throw the back blade on so all I have is some wiring left to do.

Hooked the back blade up and it lifted it with no issue. Still no. Video. It takes 2 hands to flip the wires around and the wife is Outa town. Should have the switch tomorrow and then I might go grab the brinly plow from my dad and see how it works out in the garden.

Are you leaving the lift handle complete or are you going to cuts it off?

I'm leaving it complete for now. I want to use it for snow over the winter to make sure it'll work and then I'll cut it off..
Although I may be getting a JD300 and if that's the case I won't be using the cub for plowing anymore.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
