Okay, I know I will catch a lot of crap for this but here is my opinion. Sleeve hitches are crap compared to cat 0's. The only hitch that will work properly is a cat 0. The fuel tank is in the way of a sleeve hitch on a diesel.

Oak, I second your opinion. Having used both, a 3pt is much better. Ill catch slack for this but I actually prefer my Xtrememotorworks 3pt to my factory OEM lift. The Xtreme has many more options to adjust the lift. On another note I have a rear PTO on my diesel and a tiller for it, if I were wanting a rear tiller I would go buy a self powered unit I could pull behind any tractor instead of messing with another rear PTO. Just my thoughts after using both.

Don, I agree with you and if you put a cat 0 lift on it you can use an A frame adapter and still use sleeve hitch equipment that are a lot easier to find.

i am working on putting a sleeve hitch on my 1512 and took the tank out to build one out of steel that will be easier to fill and give me room for the hitch to slide right in the factory location. I noticed that the fuel tank has a tunnel in it for the rear pto so I came on here to see what it was all about. check out this old listing on epay of the fuel tank and you can see the tunnel molded in it for the pto. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cub-cadet-15...-/121198671340

The fuel tank was basically (slight differences) the same on the 1512 as it was the diesel SGT's. They never offered it with a rear PTO as the hitch plate for the Cat 0 didn't allow for it. I believe it could be added, if you installed a SGT Cat 0 3pt on it. But it would take some modification.

yea when I was looking at the old school kits to add it to mine today I realized it wasn't worth it for me. It wouldnt get used enough to make it worth while.
I'll just get my fuel tank built and the sleeve hitch installed for now.
