The tires i dont believe have nubs on them but they do have ALOT of tread there so i would say they are very decent. The seat is brand new as the old one had a tear in it. The deck is good minus the one side has a few (i think 3) rust thru spots no bigger than a pencil eraser. Its on the side opposide the discharge chute and can be seen to the trained eye in a few of the pictures. I have driven it once when he first got it and it runs great. The engine has plenty of power and the clutch works as it should. I really have nothing to compare it to other than my 126 and it ran just as good so i say she is mechanically sound!

I'd say its a good deal...if it runs good, the ISO mounts are solid...blade is in good shape, no odd bent frame pieces or dings, if the deck is quiet with good blades and little to no rust, good tires, steering, if it charges....$600 is definitely a price to offer IMO.

BUT...it's worth what you are willing to pay (or how bad you want it).

I feel that $1,000 is too high.
A month ago I paid $800 for this 1450 with 50" mower deck, snow blower and tiller:

IMHO $1000 seem high. $750 would be the most I'd go.

As I am reading it I get 338 hrs is that correct? A $1000 is alittle high to me. I would try around $600 to 7 max. But it all depends on how bad you want it and mechanical shape. You can't go buy a new garden tractor for $600-$1000 that will last 30+yrs. What serial number is it? Wanted to see how close it was to my 1200.

You guys need to learn how to read these hour meters. The red hand is hours. When the red hand goes around once, the yellow hand reads 60hrs. So, the yellow hand just passed the 180hr mark, plus the 17hrs the red hand reads, is 197hrs. The white hand doesn't matter, but I think it goes around in minuets... as in 60 times around is an hour. However, you have no way of knowing if the red hand has passed around the clock. It may have 797hrs, or 1397hrs....

But as darkminion_17 said, it could be practically brand new, although I doubt it. If it is, or has that few hours (meter could have rolled over or more once meaning it's 820 or 1620 hours) then it'd absolutely be worth the $1000 asking price.

Hey, I was kinda close

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
