Hey cool, those are my dad's cubs! (my brother actually took the pic, but whatever...) I enjoy mowing, but I also enjoy pushing snow. I am looking forward to driving the 147 without gloves and layers on and bouncing on the tire chains.

Glad my dad's stuff can bring pleasure to someone other than me.

C'mon Allen. The super hasn't been out in the white stuff yet. As I type, our temp is in the teens, it's currently snowing (supposed to get another 1-3"), and the snow has been piling up since the beginning of January. I'm all for sharing the fun. I do have to say, I'm ready for warmer weather, too.
That's what I was going to say. No snow rolling over the top of the blade and wheel spinning- you didn't even make the 782 sweat.

Spring? Is that what comes after winter? Should be here around the end of April.
Meaning it's going to take that long before all this white stuff is melted Bring on the green, lose the white already!

I'm done. had it, Brrrrrrrrr my bones just can't take this cold anymore.

So far this winter we've have OVER 5'+ of snow.
I don't work so I would rather kill grass every 5 days or so.

Got my seeds out & starting to plan my planting them. Oh to have a freshly picked tomato.

Or to swing by & pick a peach while mowing the lawn

After my day is done, smoking a great cigar on my deck watching clouds drift over.

NIK,

No snow here to speak of. It's been a bit brisk a few mornings, but overall, it's been a typical winter here so far. Was out in the storage building today, 45 degrees outside, starting and running all the cubs, and moved the snowthrower from the 149 to the 1450 so I can fix a hydraulic leak on the 149.

Like the rest of you, though, I'm ready for spring already. Need to allocate some time to getting the boat ready. I don't mind our mild winters, but I wish I had more time on the water. I think the seasons here are just about right--it seldom gets severe--hot or cold--but I could use another couple months of boating season.

I enjoy plowing snow, but this winter I am running out of room to pile it.

This year we have been pounded by what seems relentless winds coupled with the colder than normal temps. I am actually a little concerned now when spring comes, how much frost heave and flooding we are going to experience. It will be interesting to say the least. We'll have to get the bite stick ready and trudge through it. BUT....I have had enough.

Hey, if we lived closer I'd come over and mow for you. Mrs Cubby and I are both retired, so I have availability for "seat time". My postage stamp size yard barely gets my 800 warmed up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
