put external brakes on it.
Then split the brake pedal pad in half so that you have individual rear wheel brakes when you want them.
With chains on, you will have pretty good turning brakes.

No. Not unless you speed up the entire trans.

Is there a way to make a hydro go faster in reverse?? I dont know much about hydros but with the swashplates the way they are it seems it should go the same speed in reverse as going forward? Does the linkage limit it or am i just wrong? Havent really dug around much in there...

The swashplate is cast so that it limits the speed in reverse.

You could grind the nub on the swash plate to allow it to pivot more in reverse. Wouldn't be too big of a task.

It won't help much (if any). The casting on the internal swashplate won't allow for more travel. It has a "nub" on it that hits the case at full travel.

Or did you mean on the internal swashplate? If so, that is not a good idea. Besides, then you would have to make the slot in the dash longer. NOT worth the work of disassembly.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
