The way it looks in the pictures makes it look really bad (not bad in a good way), but the real difference between a POS and something that could be something is all in how it's put together. If the modifications on this unit were engineered and executed well, it really could be something.

If you're interested in it, go look, check to see if the modifications look "sturdy" or if it really is as bad as the pictures look. Have the guy show you the modifications and explain to you how things were done.

Hard to tell what it's worth, if that's a 20,000 mile V6 and the tractor runs and drives well, it may not take much to make something decent out of it.

Looks like it still has good parts on it. I'd remove the motor, sell it, and use the parts on other machines.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
