There is a news article in a Hampton (VA) newspaper that stated that the snow is "free" nitrogen for the farmers, it enhances growth.
Air is 78% nitrogen, the snow forces more air into the soil, all this snow will enhance plant growth,,,,,,,,,,, so, in two months, you will get more seat time mowing as the grass will grow like crazy!! WOOT!! Win-Win!! ![]() ![]() or is it,,,, Lose-Lose,,,,,more grass to mow?

Sorry to hear about the snow Sam, really I am
Least it looks warm enough that it will melt fast.We still have 18" of snow on the ground, and this crap has been on going since November. There has been no bear dirt, r grass. We have over 2' of frost and "if" we get a fast melt we will have massive flooding and all the moisture will do the land nothing. The river, shall rise. I talked to an older fellow a couple weeks ago who is 90 and he told me this is the longest, coldest winter he could remember. Most years there's a little break sometime, but not this year.

Yep I hope for you guys that when it does start to thaw it does it slow so you don't get flooded. This was more of an annoyance than anything else. It will be gone in a day or two.

Sam, I don't think you moved far enough south. Us New Yorkers need to move all the way south, you must have run out of gas!
Btw where was your plant at? We have a great family friend in NY that has a redi mix plant and that was some business, I miss going there to get loaded up, always a cool place to visit.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
