Connor, sounds like "fun". You'll look back and think it was, some day. Congrats on the 169. That's one I'd like to get when I can collect Cubs, probably post retirement (about 5 yrs out, good Lord willing).
A couple we know were driving home from Virginia back to Pontiac, Michigan when their Chevy just stopped in West Virginia. They managed to get a tow to a local shop where it was determined the cost to fix it was way more than what the car was worth, even with junk yard parts. He was a retired GM auto worker so he knew the car was done. So they left the car there and told the guy they'd send him the title and caught the next bus going north. As told to us that was the real adventure, took two days to get home. The story was hilarious when they told us about it later but they didn't think so at the time.

Breakdowns are always a bummer, especially on a road trip $$$$$. There are many good people out there & some that take advantage of a breakdown (scumbags).
All in all you'll remember this event as another stepping stone in life. NIK,

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
