I hate USPS for packages. I've been waiting on a package from Nevada. It took it a week to move through the distribution center with the tracking number provided. It would have taken less time for me to drive there and back to get it.

Let me sing the praises of priority mail
![]() A fellow Kawasaki triple motorcycle enthusiast sent me a kick starter and a shifter assembly off his '73 H2 750. ( I do bushing & pin work to tighten up sloppy shifters and kickers) Those fine folks in the postal system somehow "lost" both of those high dollar items and I got an empty package delivered. He's still trying to jump thru hoops to get his $50 "insurance" to cover the $200 worth of items that went missing. I was lucky enough to locate another shifter assembly off ebay for cheap and he agreed to use another Kawasaki model kicker instead of the correct one. Pack your items as best as you can and maybe they'll even get there. ![]() |

I wrap EVERYTHING with fiberglass tape, cheap insurance.
I used to ship 3,500 pounds a day, never lost anything in ten years with UPS, NOTHING was lost! ![]() I did "loose" two car size tires steel banded to a pallet on a truck shipment one time,,,, somebody needed new tires for their trailer! ![]() A few heavy packages (around 50 pounds) were sent USPS, 20% of the packages were lost or damaged. I only would ship heavy packages USPS at the customers demand, and I required pre-payment by USPS Money Order. The customer had to deal with the lost shipment. ![]() I do mail USPS packages to our granddaughter, haven't lost one in a year of weekly shipments to Texas. |

I shipped those rear end braces I was making Priority mail and they managed to bust open one of the boxes and lost 1 of the plates. It showed up at the customer marked damaged. Luckily I had it insured. Took me about a month to get paid.

I'm since retired, but Burlington Air Freight lost a Klystron once (Klystron is a high-power UHF TV transmitter tube).
3foot x 3foot x 8foot shipping crate, 785 pounds. DHL lost an 8ft microwave dish. 8ft x 8ft x 3ft crate, about 350 lbs. Makes you want to pick stuff up for yourself.... ![]()

This item was purchased on Wed, Apr 9th at 6:30AM.
Now, it seems this package is taking the "scenic route". After all, MO is close to MI in the USPS world. I am guessing, I won't see this, if I am lucky, by Wednesday of this week. 8 Days to go approx 350 miles. And then they wonder why the USPS is broke.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
