mice and other small animals tend to like tight and dark spaces where they feel safe, try leaving them sit with the hoods up so the engine bay seems a little less cozy.

I also use moth balls... I've had the same open box in my shed for 4 years and I can still smell them with the doors shut. NO mice problem.

I read somewhere to put dryer sheets in the engine tin openings. I tried it this last winter and I didn't find any evidence of mice in the engines this spring.

Awwwwww, them mice are cute.

My cubbies are in my garage. & never outside. Years ago I started to have about 3 to 6 traps set up in the fall when they are seeking warmth. But now I keep them baited all year long, refreshing the peanut butter once a month.
Why take a chance?

Caught 2 this last fall & so far so good.
