That looks like a good deal to me. If that seat is in as good of condition as it looks it's probably worth close to $100.

That's a pretty long ride for that tractor, IMHO, you guys want to leave for a road trip in the drop of a hat, no planning.

Some of the best road trips I've been on haven't been planned. Kids have no sence of adventure.

It does look good in the pic. Mabe you will get lucky like I did recently. I went to buy an Original 2 hours away that was said to smoke a bit. I bought it anyway and brought it home. It had the engine oil and the oil bath aircleaner overfilled a little bit. I changed the engine oil and cleaned the air filter and refilled the oil to the proper level and now it doesn't smoke at all. Sometimes you get lucky! For the price that you are looking at paying for that tractor it looks like a good deal. If it turns out to be just parts, it still looks like you can easily get your money back. Sometimes you have to drive to get a deal. Like someone else said, you can't expect too much for $175 these days.

Make a list of the +'s and the -'s and go from there. One other thing, it is a WF gear drive, which is always easy to sell to a puller if you just wanted to grab the seat and some other goodies. Let us know if you land it.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I have more fun when I just jump up and go. Planning just makes me mad if everything dont go as planned

You can't buy one that looks that good around here for that money. Unfortunately you've got to figure in a whole day plus hauling expense. Figure that amount, add it to the 175 and then decide if you can buy one local for that money in the same condition. If the cost of the road trip is just regarded as one of life's little adventures, then you should have brought it home already.

Then again, the 128 is my favorite Cadet that is older than an 82 series, so I'm certainly biased!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
