Hate those too...BIG TIME....i bought some steel valve stems took the assembly out and put them in the back of my 5 gallon cans for a vent...then take the "guts" out of the spout and they sell these perfect fitting little red caps for them at either napa or your local farm and barn....makes the cans almost just as good as the old ones.....of course you still have to pay for all the unnecessary s#%t!!! Thanks alot government for all you do...but i wont even get into all that...started in california i believe....of course

Don't pass up ' GARAGE SALE ' or yard sales.
Bought 2 older gas containers at a moving sale that didn't have the new stupid dumb things on it. They wanted $ 2.00 apiece & got both for $ 2.00. NIK, NIK,

The older ones seem to be bringing decent dollars at auctions I've been to lately, sometimes as much as a new one.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
