Well, wait until you'all see what I have in store for you. I have a pretty neat red LED tail light for my 72. I'll remember some pictures later,........
I'm in no way going against what's been said good for the "regular" head lamps. However, there are some pretty good/decent LED head lamps going around. I was thinking LED because I really want to minimize the amperage draw on my starter generator. Since my model 72 don't have a head light panel, I have been thinking of a particular way using 3/4" conduit for mounting some front lights. Lights were standard equipment for my 1450, so those lights stay. I think I'm leaning toward the LED for the 72. So happens, that there is a some-what of a specialty shop/dealer of LED lights next to me, par say. I'd like to follow up with this comment at a later time this year. ![]() |

Well, I got all my lights mounted, wired up, and took it out for a test drive. MUCH better than stock. I did notice, however, the two lights I bought from O'Rielly's that are mounted facing forward are different versions of the same light. One has a hard rubber outside, one is a softer rubber. Also, the light pattern that they cast is different; the left side (sitting in the seat) is more specific, the right side is more of a flood cast light. I may return one just so they match, but for now, I'm happy with how things turned out. I think this should do me just find this winter when plowing snow

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
