Mine do not have any inserts of any kind in them. I just attached the all thread and stabilized them on the rim and put the weight on.

Why not just take a tape measure and measure the length you need? Hold the weight on the wheel, measure out from the tire to the outside of the weight.
Remove the weight, and measure the inside of the rim where the bolt comes through, add the first measurement and buy the bolts accordingly.
