Yellow on the yeller and white cubs except for the Supers. I like the black one's Lew spoke about even though they're plastic and cement.

Red on the red and white cubs. Sets 'em off.

Maybe go with green or even pink, to be different............

I just picked up a NOS set of the 75 lb black plastic weights for my 1782 that is used for cutting grass and they work very well and wont rust. Have a 21 year old set on the 2182 that are still in good shape also. Don't leave them set outside to get water in them or they will freeze and break.

Yellow or you could use silver and they'll look like hubcaps.

I like them yellow.

Here are some pics some our 2072's with yellow weights. We have found the weights come out nicer powder coated as the powder seems to smooth out some of the casting roughness.

I decided a couple hours ago when yellow had a clear majority that I was going to take them to my uncles's and blast/powder coat them. Bsmith, what's the Eastwood powder #?

Shrew cub,

Sorry I do not know the number of the powder. We went to the coater and looked through his chips and picked out what was close. I should have wrote it down but didn't.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
