I have one from Yosemite Sam and Jeff in Pa. They are both excellent adapters!!! It really comes down to personal preference, I think. I've had Sam's since Christmas and have used it couple times pulling blades. I just unpacked Jeff's this morning. I can say that you will break everything else before you break either one of these adapters.
Sam's came primed with a light coat of black paint plus all of the clevis and hitch pins needed. ![]() Jeff's is unpainted with no hardware. Jeff's lift straps(not pictured) are twice as thick as Sam's. I can't recommend one over the other yet (And probably won't be able to until more testing is done). I want to get one of these from Xtereme to avoid pulling the bolts out of the rear. I would definitely get either one of these before getting a stock one. In closing I'd say get both! ![]() EDIT: I forgot to mention both guys are valuable assets to this forum in their Cub knowledge and high quality products!!!

Dang, wish I had known about those before buying a stock one. Might have to pick up one anyway. |

Sell the one you bought and get one of those just like in the picture. I have one on my 121 and had one on a 1572.

It's been painted. It has a little rust pitting on it but not too bad.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
