What's a building inspector? I asked the local inspector what I needed to do when I converted my run down barn into a shop, "As long as your not going to live in it we don't care" I love this part of the country.

Where I live, we don't need a permit to do ANYTHING. Not even withing the village. No inspections..... nothing. Now, we do have a state plumbing inspector and Fire Marshall. Now, if they happen to come by, they have the right to look around. Biggest issue here is the tax assessor.

No permits here out in the county where I live, but in any town, watch out! You even have to have a permit to do really, really, minor repair work. Plenty of folks ready to call code. Land of the Free you know...
My old buddy Carl had the FD called on him for burning leaves here in town(which is still legal). Code guy pulled up, saw Carl's son(a nearby larger town's Fire Chief), and left, saying that "if anyone knows how to burn leaves, it should be him".

Looks like he knows what he's doing. No permits here for "agricultural" purposes, needless to say we have a lot of agriculturalists. Lol

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
