The row crop tractors look really sharp all done up, if you go to arthurstractors.com we might have one all done up on the website but in not 100% sure.

Most of the tractors we do are 8ns, they seem to be the most popular. Here's a pic of the 8n we have on display in our office.

Everybody seems to want to do the Fords. Maybe they were popular in your area. I think the biggest reason is because there were so many of them made that they are one of the cheapest tractors to restore. Virtually every part is available still.

Very nice work Tim, kudos to you guys and a job well done.

I agree there cheaper to restore than some of the other brands but I don't think thats why people do them, about 95% of the tractors we do were owned by the customer's grandfather or father and have been in the family for several generations. Also we restore tractors from all over the country and we've even done a few that went overseas, its very rare for use to do a tractor for someone in our area.

Tim

If you still have that in your shop any chance of getting some pics of the 4 wheel drive setup? Looks like it has a drive shaft coming out of the rear on the left side. Like everyone else has said awesome work.

Here's some pics Sam, the gearbox bolts to the side and is driven off a 3" wide chain that goes around the output shaft on the trans. I also took a short video of the 4wd in action and will post a link later after I get it on YouTube.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
