Guess I've never paid attention before but that exploded view is a little confusing in itself. The drawing makes it look like the valve handle goes through the float clevis.

Yes, the exploded view is quite confusing. As the set up on mine does not coincide with the exploded view. Good news is, I found item 4 except for the clip which caused all this trouble in the drive way. :American Flag:

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
