I married a school teacher. She gets sick all the time, and then usually I do.

Drink enough of it and you won't care if you are sick or in pain. Of course, work won't go any better.

Same here. And have 2 kids in 2 different day cares. Although Sam is right, I have fruit trees in my back yard and squeezed a lot of juice this year instead of giving them away, I give it to my son every morning, he hasn't been sick once this school year (knock on wood) and he normally brought home stuff every other wek in the past couple years. Florida OJ and grapefruit juice Tim, time to get some

Sorry for you Tim. Sickness seems to get worse as you get older too. You don't "bounce back" as quick. I have more trouble "toughing it out" too.

I think your absolutely right. I was reading something the other day saying that they did a study on kids to find out who was healthier. Know what they found out? Farm kids are the most healthy. You know, the ones who go out and get all scraped and bruised up. Shovel manure, hang out with animals and all kinds of germs, rodents, mold, dust, pollen, hair, dirt, disease, and everything that most people try to keep their kids from! They were the most healthy as in not sick as much, and much less susceptible to catching a virus. I have to say, I grew up that way and was seldom sick...... and when any of us did get sick, we were SICK. Like down and out, not just "crummy". Mainly because we went to work and school unless we threw up to prove we were sick. LOL.

Good luck! I like the OJ thing. With or without vodka, it's good for you!

Responding to drglinski, I am a schoolteacher, and I get sick once or twice, sometimes pretty bad. Worst ever though was a year I taught at a boarding school. The week after our school's open house I caught some awful virus and had a fantastically high fever over 103, finally peaking at 104.7. But, all that aside, whatever my daughter brings home from day care has staying power. She brought home a cold that kept all of us down from Christmas into February. Used up all our sick time and then some!

The older the kid gets, the less sick everyone becomes. When we put mine in daycare right after he turned 2, we were told by the owner he'd be sick a lot but by the time he started kindergarten, he would rarely miss a day of school. I doubt he's missed 15 days in 9 years. Now the second week of preshool saw him with a terrible cold. The week after that, the wife and I had it, one of the worst colds ever--and that was in JULY. Nothing like a snotty nose and 97deg heat and high humidity.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I went through the same thing. They would bring home a cold every week, get over it in a day and I would be out of commission for 4 or 5! It does get better, hang in there.

As far as the hand sanitizer stuff my feeling has always been that eating my soup every day with a dirty spoon makes me stronger (I will admit that I do first wipe it off on my dirty shirt).

Eat well, sleep well and drink well.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
