Glad to see you cooled your jets. It doesn't matter how many times you fall down, what matters is how many times you get back up.
At your age, and with today's technology the interweb and sites like OCC can be very beneficial to a young man such as you who wants to learn small engines. Some of us older folks had to learn hands on eye to eye. But we also learned to keep our ears and eyes opened and at times our mouths shut or the lesson was going to be short ![]() You've got a lot of fire, and I admire that in a young man such as yourself, but put it to good use, if someone with the experience is going to take the time to teach, take the time to listen..... it'll get you much further. And I must say, it probably took a lot to admit wrong and apologize, but to me that's what makes a good man. Enough of the sappy stuff, hope you're back with your ears and eyes open. ![]()

I'll make my public appearance.
Justin, your a good kid. You have to be to come out and publicly apologize. Don't worry, you didn't rattle me. I've trained a lot of techs, (mechanics) the easiest ones to train are the ones who want to learn and try hard. When I hire a mechanic, I always tell them I expect them to make mistakes. That's how you learn. It would hurt your head (and wallet) to see some of the stuff I broke in my early days when I was learning. I had some guys who taught me, they were and are still the best of the best. When they talked, I listened. That's all we (I) want you to do. Not saying that we don't want you giving advice or posting, but it was said somewhere in all this that we at OCC kind of pride ourselves on being the best Cub Cadet site there is and that is because we give accurate information. If you aren't sure, just say so. If you disagree with something (especially if it's with me ![]() ![]() I sent you a PM. |

Justin I'm glad things turned around and you are going to stay here. It does my heart good to see a young man take an interest in older mechanical stuff. Hats off to ya. Glad to have you here.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
