Well all Zach's clutch arms are longer to help with releasing the heavier spring, if Father in law goes with the 108 , he will just change spring is all

With a ring gear starter engine in a 108 with a QL muffler and air cleaner, a swap of the front grill assy and the hood and latch, you could make it work. check oil pan to be sure it will clear the frame. Need to look and see if the holes in the steering console sides are there for the thumb screws that hold the side panels on.
I don't think the air baffle at the back of the engine compartment is necessary.

It will be in a puller so all that will not matter, was trying to find out if the side shields would fit. Was told I wold have to change the bottom nose piece of the grill, thanks

The air baffle let's it draw cool air from the back of the tractor rather than recirculating heated air in the engine compartment. I'll admit I've never run one without the baffle, so I can't say if it makes a big difference or not, but the idea seems reasonable.

When we use steel flywheel with no fins, we use small fan to cool off after pull

As cub123 the baffle keeps the engine from overheating by forcing it to draw cold air from outside the engine compartment, if your building a puller that's not going to be running for long periods of time its probably not a big deal but if you plan to mow with it you need the baffle.

Hey Donny, i know the arms are longer on the bottom. I'm talking the distance from the center of the driveshaft up to the hole for the pin in the clutch hanger. Mike
