I can't be more proud of been a member of this forum after reading such a truly piece of art statement, Tesla was the greatest of all scientist of his time he die poor and forget by all the rest of the scientist band wagon who never take him seriously after he lost everything in his last project.

Sometimes true genius is confused with crazy by average dumb folks. Without Tesla's work we wouldn't have many modern conveniences.

I'm in the material handling biz, wal mart distribution centers already using hydrogen fuel cells in their lift trucks in Canada. The local DC to me says they will be converted next year and have their own on site hydrogen manufacturing plant to refuel. Time will tell

There's an application I hadn't thought of. Driving around in an enclosed space with no exhaust fume buildup is huge.

I agree. I have never understood why Edison is a household name but Tesla not.
He had some far out theories about some things but his contrabutions to practical things is undeniable.

How true! Edison even stole Tesla's ideas. Really a neat guy to read about. He had laid out the plans for the modern day cellular phones, televisions, and developed a remote control bomb all before the 20th century. My favorite is his device he made to amplify waves which he used to create earthquakes. Sorry....this if off topic, but I thought it was noteworthy to mention him and his accomplishments in a thread involving energy.

Cub Cadet came out with a zero turn that ran off of propane to lower emissions. It was marketed for baseball/football/soccer fields that were enclosed in domes. I remember seeing the brochure with it advertised either in 2010 or 2008....Definitely a market for that.

No your not off topic this thread was about cheap hydrogen production but cheap energy was one of Tesla major goal! We are not talking about cupcake here... Well OK I know we all love cupcake too!

It's a serious discussion about energy and genius behind it. I enjoy this kind of discussion where anyone can shim in and add a piece to the puzzle, Best of all we can learn a thing or two in the process sometimes.

The technology is improving fast Alvy but many progress need to be done before a consumer product became enough secure for the average Joe to deal with. Add an "Hydrogen for dummies" book in the pack

I watched a special on discovery once that was about aa pig farm that stored the methane from the pig poop and used it to run all there equipment, kind off a genius idea.
