If you not going to use the stock cylinder, then you would be better off making your own mount. Come on now, pick where you want the mount to be, turn the blade full left and take a measurement, then turn it full right and take another. Not hard to figure out stroke on your own.

Ditto. If the retracted measurement is 13 inches, it would be around 8" stroke. Surplus center brand cross tube cylinders are great on price and durability. Get a 1.5" x 8" cylinder n make your own brackets. The hoses, fittings and coupler ends are the cheapest i have found them.

Ok, if your buying the brackets double check thepin size. I believe the pin holes ont that cylinder are 3/4". No biggy, but you will need bushings if the pins on your brackets are smaller.

Jmo dude, c if Jeff n PA will hook you up with some that will work whith what you have. 86 bucks for a copy seems awfully high.

Default Thanks

I ended up ordering a ram that was close to those measurements from the Surplus Center. The pin holes are 3/4" and the bracket rods are 5/8" so will take up the space with bronze bearings. Happy holidays.

Default Power angle progress

I obtained the cylinder from the Surplus Center and found the cylinder brackets...Am having a hard time finding the pneumatic quick connects that the hoses plug into. Has anyone found a source for these? Thanks

I see that your taking the shot gun approach and posting the same question in multiple areas.

First off they are not "pneumatic" they are hydraulic. This thread should help.

Cub part # 727-3023 Coupling, Hydraulic Hose per the Cub parts site.

I know I posted this before but can't find it. All you need to reduce the 3/4" hole on the mount to 5/8" is a couple of these bushings from TSC

Pretty expensive, $1.99 ea.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
