Roland posted some part numbers. I don't think the "owner" of the site needs to "prove" that he got the numbers right. I took the time to go through all 18 of your posts, and I don't see where anyone recommended an incorrect number to you on this forum. Maybe you just forgot where you got the wrong info?
I was simply trying to pass on correct facts, rather than assumptions, so that other CC enthusiasts would not have to experience the same thing I did, incurring unnecessary expense and wasted time. After all, isn't that what these threads are about, asking questions and getting correct answers. There is absolutely no reason this should lead to a passive aggressive response from a moderator. In most forums it is the moderators job to quell the flame wars, not start them.

Default Pin vs Ball Couplings

I noticed that the D-202 couplings on ebay are ball type and the SMC are pin type. I dont know enough about couplings to determine if one or the other is required. Trial and error I guess.

I went a season without the power angle after having it. Got it back for this year and have to say I dont want to be without it again, very convenient.

I don't think any of the information in this thread was an "assumption". Looks like all facts to me. Part numbers, direct links.... I really think it was you who was questioning the "facts". Yes, these threads are about giving correct answers.... which were given. Just because you haven't personally bought from the at least 3 links/references doesn't make them wrong. I am "quelling the flame war", by stating that the info already given was correct while you are questioning whether it is. While I appreciate that you too want to make sure correct information is given, I don't understand why you are questioning it if you can't confirm that it is incorrect. For the record, I'm aggressive/aggressive. I was trying to be nice. Thanks for stating what you do know works.

Default Couplings

I ordered/received the Parker D-202 couplings and they are too small for the mating part so I ordered the Parker S40-2P couplings from Grainer at the suggestion of the manufacturer. Will see if they fit. I am thinking that someone added these couplings with aftermarket parts.

Post #3 and #5 both listed the proper coupling for you to order, how did you manage to get it wrong?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
