I believe that your serial number will start with 2050670Uxxxxxx if it's a 1650. 1250 would be 2050630Uxxxxxx. 1450 is 2050660Uxxxxxx.

the one i have starts with 2050610U and it has holes on the right and left side that looks like it was for the hydro lever. does anyone know what 2050610U is?

Well, IH never built a 2050610U. Are you sure that it is a 1?

Sounds like you really have a 1650 with manual lift or someone has taken it off the hydraulic lift and put on a manual lift.

it may be a 7 but its old and worn. all i know is that its 16hp and the hole for the hydro lever is there so maybe someone converted it to a manual, i dont know. is there any other way to tell?

Someone just told me he thought that IH sold some 1650's with manual lift. It was at the end of their production run and ran out of lift parts. Now that I think about it. It should still have a ported hydro on it. It would have two capped off ports on top of the hydro.

Hydro is in the back of the tractor. You'll need to take the tunnel cover off to see if it is a ported pump. The tunnel cover is the cover that is between the dash town and the rear fenders. It bolts directly on top of the frame with 4 small bolts. There should be two capped off ports that are pointing to the front of the tractor right above the drive shaft.

I think the story about IH running out of hydro lift assemblies at the end of the production run pertains to the 169. I own one of the 169's that was delivered with the ports on the hydro capped off and a manual lift assembly. IH later came out with a mod kit to install the hydraulic lift system on the ones that came without them.

is there any differance in a 12,14,or1650 as far as frames and parts. if i need to order a part are they all interchangeable?
