Mine certainly did. The turning point was up in the garden with the tiller hanging off the back. She had a huge area tilled up in just a few minutes. (And I remember that "oh no, not another rusty junker" look in her eyes when we rolled the second 147 off the truck.) Combine that with a veritable mountain of leaves from last year tilled in and you can make a pretty good garden.

Snow blower, push blade, tiller & mower deck (currently spread out in pieces being reworked) prove out a machine that's most usable year 'round. I don't care that it is 45-years old!

Missed some replies! Zippy, thanks for the welcome. Here are some current pics. The driveshaft came out of a super, and I swapped a guy on fb for the right length. Getting ready to pack and seal the joints. Currently test fitting and the bolt holes don't match up on the plate that came with the ch25. I'm sure there is a good thread to guide me on the marking/drilling process.

How are you guys? Happy memorial day!

Sorry. Never repowered and drilled new holes in an engine plate before. Do you have the original plate? You may have to over lap them and drill to fit. Others with more experience will jump in soon.

What is this off of the 782 and do I need it anymore? What did it do? Next I'll have some questions about the PTO switch and if I can upgrade it to a simple on/off switch

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
