Wow, that is in nice shape. Looks like it has the CI rear but it is yellow, not that it matters to me. Looking at the top link, I believe that is an OEM cat 0 hitch + the Model number shows that it was built in 1983 (143), has rear pto, cat 0 hitch and front ports(986) and is yellow(100). That is how you break down the model number (143986100) I would love to add a yellow 982 to my collection

I disagree, the yellow 982's or in this case a 986, is far more rare.

Would you give any more for a 126 than a 125? We talk about it here but I don't think rarity translates into dollars. Parts from rare ones bring more like a 169 air cleaner ect This is just my opinion here

Wasn't there one of the regular posters on the forum down around Georgia that has been trying to find a 982 for a while now? If somebody can remember who it is and maybe PM him with a heads up about this thread.
I never realized they made yellow 982 Cadets! Personally I like it. That said, I live on a farm so we have full size tractors which means I don't have need of rear PTO's and 3pt hitch nor do I need turning brakes on a lawn mower. But I do love my 2 Supers! Dad mowed his yard with the 982 today. You'd think at 86 he'd chose the 2072 due to power steering. ![]()
