That bolt is supposed to be a 1/2 x 1-3/4" w/hex lock nut
The bushing/spacer goes in the upper hole for the crank handle clevis
The spacer is 1/2" I.D. x 9/16"
Available from Brinly/Hardy

I suggest you look for the red arrow in post #4 on this topic. Look The hole in question has part number 29 (bolt) going thru the hole.

What type of soil are you plowing?
How many rounds have you made. First round should go around 2-4 inches deep.
Second round should be better
Third round should be the money maker round.
Is it sod?
I'll have to take some more pics. There is 18" between the rear tires so I have it in Hole 2-R per the chart I found on-line. I'll have to try it in 1-R as the Brinly manual states though. I raised the left side onto 3 2x6's to simulate the proper angle. Set the plow so the landside is aprox. 1/2" off of the ground when the point is touching. These three pics are all I have right now. When fully raised the point is about 3-3/4" off the ground. You can see the plow appears to be too far left in the last pic and the landside is setting too high IE the plow is not deep enough, but setting it to run deeper makes it worse. BTW the right wheel is in the furrow from the first pass. I know it looks like I am trying to cut sod there, but it was a tilled garden last year and the soil is very soft and sandy so that should not be an issue. Is the furrow wheel weight going to cause me an issue? being so large?

You have the point set way too far down. (Trying to plow too deep.) Rock the point up... like, a lot.

I'd also suggest taking a flap disc on a grinder and taking the paint off the share and most of the moldboard.

You have too much point. The landslide should be no more than 1/2 inch above the bottom of the furrow.

Adjust the crank so the plow point is closer to the frame.

Here is how your landslide should look when set right.

The landslide is against the bottom and side of the furrow.
The plow is not a Brinly plow. This plow has a Homelite decal on it

I own 4 different brands of plows before anyone ask.

The hole in question is NOT the one with the bushing.

Default I'm not sure what you are talking about...

There was never any question about the bolt being 1/2" x1-3/4. That's pretty easy to figure out even without the manual or parts list. I never asked if there was supposed to be a spacer there. I asked if that hole was supposed to be slotted of if it was worn. Thank you for taking the time to try and help.

I give up, Someone mentioned a spacer.
I was merely pointing out the spacer goes in the upper hole
it was a FYI moment
The bolt pictured by the PO was obviously TOO SMALL
Just thought I'd look up THE CORRECT SIZE BOLT> period.
Geesh
back to your original programming.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
