Yup, I went grad school in Illinois and the dirt was definitely dirtier and the snow was a lot snowier out there.

I used to think that turfs and chains were the way to go with snow. I've seen AGS with snow and people tend to say that they don't work as well. I currently have turfs and chains, and they work fine. That being said, I like the look of AG tires and will buy them when I need to replace the turfs I currently have. I plan on chaining them in winter if I need to. I thought about buying new turfs because consensus is that they work better in the snow, but I'd rather run the tires that I'd rather look at and if I'm going to be spending $$$$ I'll buy new AGS cuz turfs are a dime a dozen on craigslist. (if I buy the ag tires and find out they really suck for snow removal (which I doubt) I'll have a cheap set of turfs for the snow.)<-----------got all that? Totally lost? Need a road map?

and by the way I'm going firestone AGS. Nothing against the carlisle, but if I'm going to pony up $$ for tires I'm gonna get the good ones. Plus the tread pattern looks better IMO.

I run ags on my tractors but I have a set of loaded turfs that I just leave the chains on and come winter when I put the plow on I just switch wheels, it gives me the best of both worlds plus I don't have to worry about the chains marking up my new ags.

Tires, Oil, Filters, Hy-Tran etc. It never stops. Do what ever floats your boat.

Amazon also sells these tires...the reviews are a solid 5 star having 113 customer reviews....myself I think that's pretty darn good.

Now of course this tire can be purchased elsewhere for about a 100 bucks shipped.

Chains would cost about 75 bucks, almost the cost of 1 Carisle tru power...after reading the reviews here and on Amazon it's pretty plain.

Was wondering if anyone has had any problems with good year ags? Had to take an older sears in for some work I did on a house for payment. Gonna try selling it off to recoupe some of the $$$ I have lost but thinking of taking the ags off and replacing with turf.20160930_133742.jpg
