Looks great. First thing I think of is Cub Cadets are great but now you've got room for some bigger IH tractors.

Nice looking place Terry. Get you a couple VFD's to run the 3 phase stuff. VFD's are cheap now.

Thanks Todd.

I've thought about it but they aren't 2-5 hp spindles. They are large CNCs that need 3ph a few places other than their spindles. Plus the 20hp air compressor and dryer.
I could go with a 50hp phase converter but that's a pretty inefficient way to run a shop. It's the way I make my living so things need to make money.
The shop is only two miles away so it's no big deal

Eric, thanks and of course that house isn't 100yrs old but I can still see where the original house was.
I'm sure out east century farms are common but out here they are not that many around

Terry, our house isn't all that old either, (mine is coming up near 70) but it was near the old farm house and I just wanted to keep it in the family.....

Wow! That's some serious stuff you got there Terry. Yep, I was thinking you had some stuff in the 5 to 10 hp range.

I can watch the elect meter go faster when that air compressor kicks on
I don't really need that big of one but I got a good deal on it.
Our rural elect coop rates are terrible also. Around here towns are on one
company and the rural handles the farms. The rural one buys the electricity from the town one so guess why they are higher

Too bad they cost so much, takes all the fun out of getting a new one!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
