Looks great. Follow Sam's links for Cyclops. Go through it one end to the other and it will last 20 years or longer.

A 42 inch deck on that tractor really is ridiculous.
Would really like to find a 54 for mine but they are not that easy to come by.
Be sure to read some of Sam Mac's posts to see what you need to do going through those tractors.

Congrats.
Thanks. Yeah Sam gave me the list when I got my 1641 a few months ago. Is the 54" the biggest that will fit this one? My 1641 has a 48" but it's not listed as an attachment on tractordata.com and the biggest listed for the 1864 is 48". I might not keep the 1641 now since I got the 1864 and put the 48" on it and let the 42" go with the 1641. I don't have the space to store two cubs with my Jacobsen plow rig and all my other toys. I am happy with the 1641 but I don't pass up good deals.

54 is listed in the attachments for the 1864. 324 54" Mower, 190-324-100

That is the largest deck you can get under a GT. Only deck larger is the 60" Haban but you need a Super for that. I have a 48GT under my 18/2264 but I'm looking for a 54GT

A buddy of mine has a 54 on his 1864 and it works just fine.

Sam may have a couple of them decks stashed away.

Yeah I saw that part number on partstree. I will probably just stick with the 48". I don't think it's worth the cost to get a 54" for an additional 6" of cutting. If I find a Super with a 60" for $275*, I'll let yall know, that then would be worth it to me.

*I'd have a better chance getting struck by lightning.

I'm contemplating what to do. I know the common opinion here is to just keep everything since I have it but my brain is having a .

I am definitely going to keep the 1864, no if's and's or but's. That's not even a debate. It has about 300 hours more than my 1641 on it. I kind of want to keep the 1641, but I don't think I want to keep a 42" deck around. Is this 42" deck worth anything? Does it have a different lift carriage than the 48"? Just looking at it at quick glance because I haven't had a chance to really look it over until I get it into my garage, it looks like it's more narrow and not interchangeable with the 48" deck. So the deck lift carriage would have to be kept with each deck. I want to put the 48" on the 1864. I may want to sell the 1641 or maybe at least the engine off it. Because if anything goes wrong with the Kohler 18hp, I will want to rebuild it or replace it with (grunts) more power (grunt grunt), which makes the 16HP briggs vanguard expendable as well as some other parts I probably won't need and just keep some important stuff as a spare for the 1864. The 1641 was a bit of a humpty dumpty when I got it, but it's all together and running good now. I've parted two Vanguard 16HP's out on FleaBay and each pulled about $500-$600 total for each in parts, so that remains an option for me as well. I bought the 1641 for the engine before I realized what I really had, and then I decided to put it back together and use it for my main rider, and then I came across this 1864. I think I just will have to choose one to keep, and I know which one I'm choosing to keep if I decide to keep only one. Such hard decisions. Maybe I should just stay off Craigslist... I have a very understanding and supportive wife though

What have you got for a deck on the 1641?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
