Wish I could get it to ya Sam, I'm sure you'd find a use for it If I had more space (story of my life), I'd find or rig up some kind of seat on wheels for it and use it to cruise around for sh!ts and giggles, it really is a neat lil guy.

It is a neat little unit. If no one takes it off of your hands, then you could donate it to some yute who wants to do a resto on it for a 4-H Fair project, or ask a local place if they would like to have it donated to them (tax right off for you and a benefit for them), like your local Masonic Lodge, Nursing Home, Small Business man who is on a limited budget just starting up a new business, etc.

The headlights and holes above them look like eyes and eyebrows. Heck, I would paint up a face and some ears on it just for kicks.

I doubt theres much else there from the MTD tractor other than the hood and grill, thats a homebuilt rig for sure.

Take it over to your "helpful hardware man" and see if he wants it. He might put it on display and you can visit it on weekends.

Had to switch over from my phone to my PC to find some pics of my Columbia(MTD960). I want to repower it someday and Im very tempted to pull the 3cyl diesel out of a rough condition Kubota I have right now to do that. I have most every attachment that was available for the tractor, 3 point hitch, mower, tiller, snowplough, snowblower, cultivator, soil plough.

The Columbia branded machines like mine may have been only avail in Canada back in the 70s but other brand names were avail in the USA, most of which had the same grill as the walkbehind unit in the original post. Lots of guys like to put Johnson loaders on the 990 since its hydrostatic but I prefer the the 2315 gearbox for its low first gear grunt, Ive had it nearly flip over backwards when I hooked a tree root with the cultivator, it doesnt need rear weights, it needs them on the front. Lol
