Love your car Todd!
Too bad there is no full service stations left. I used to love watching guys try to find where to put the gas in. I had a 56 that I fixed up and drove to school.
For those who don't know, you twist the little chrome piece above the tail light and the whole assembly tilts down.

Appreciate your opinion Danial. But what about the 55 makes it a "great gasser" over the 6 or 7? I've seemed to have saw equal representation by all three.
And what styling does the 57 have that the other two don't that make it a better "hot rod"? This being our first trifive, we need to know these things if ever I was considering to build a gasser, or hot rod...
I/we personally like the new grill for 56, the flatter hood and the taillights are a work of art, in our opinion. The full length split body side moldings, where the top back half color runs through the front color has a nice eye appealing flow, gives it a look it's moving while it's standing still.

thanks everyone for the compliments. Sad but true, Nancy had as much to do with getting it as I did. MAYBE even a little more of her convincing me, than the other way around.

Thanks Tim, but I'm looking for 15" wheels, with the "old school" attitude. Not much for the hoops that are popular today.

John, I don't much care for the "original" look. First thing I would do back in my youth, was remove the hubcaps and wheels, and take off to Hi-Rev Speed Shop, and get some aftermarket wheels and tires.
No car shows for us, just something for the little woman and me to enjoy going wherever to wherever. Feels good behind the wheel thinking about a much simpler time, much like some do on their Cub tractors.

I am glad you are looking for wheels that go with the car, the wheels today just make me ill looking at them.

I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of it, you got a nice one!Randy
I hear that Randy, as I said earlier, I'm not one for the hoop style of today. Something in a chrome reverse, or Cragar SS...

Not a chevy guy, but that's a beautiful car, Todd! I agree with the Cragar SS, American Racing TorqThrust would look great too. Have a blast with it!

Wow It's a amazing car Todd! Personally I prefer the 56 Bel air over the 57, with a modern mechanic this beauty can go anywhere without letting you down and as a bonus "In Style"!

Some like them build like hotrod with mag wheels and special paint job but I prefer the classic style with modern mechanic for reliability. You and your spouse did a fantastic job restoring this car. Congratulation!

I just like the tailfins of a 57 and the way a 55 looks with the rear fenders cut out for bigger meat and the front end in the air minus the bumper.

Looks like you let the mouse out of the bag.
It is a nice car, enjoy it.
My brother had a 55, never did finish it, sold it to my cousin, he also had 56, a black one no trim, all souped up for running at Englishtown, he used to leave at our house, I know it went fast, so I had to take it for a spin to see. hehehe

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
