Man, that is the truth. I am still amazed that it exists and it just happened to be pried off by a Cub Cadet enthusiast. This dash was never even finished, the embossed parts weren't finished and none of the holes were cut out(Obviously). Why it became a power pole danger sign and never was finished, we may never know. I looked at some pictures of finished dashes and couldn't find any errors on it. The dash is really shiny though.

You know, I think Lew might be jealous.
Now go find another one and you'll have some trading stock--I'm sure he has something in the parts department that you need!

Wow, what are the odds on this? A cub guy deciding to pull a random sign off and finding that?
Like others said, go get a lottery ticket.

Great find - fun!!
Power Companies do NOT replace telephone poles. Telephone poles are pretty rare, most communication lines have been buried for decades. Power Companies do replace power poles or utility poles, those generic terms are interchangeable for the same structure. |

That's incredible! One of a kind. Hang it from the ceiling in your shop so when it twists, you can see both sides.

Thanks everybody, I did not find any more. I know it's a long shot, but does anybody know what company made the dash tins for IH? The top of the tin is missing, so I was thinking it was maybe at the end of a sheet and the top part was cut off so they couldn't use it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
