Unless thats a picture of your wife in your avatar, you haven't considered the easiest solution. Keep the Cubs and get rid of the wife. Then you can probably buy even more Cubs :biggrin2.gif:

Diz Jr.:
(I'm in love with that avitar)But seriously, just having one of these old machines can be a good thing or a bad thing. With just one you can bring it up to par but you have to factor in downtime. With more than one you have a backup. I have several, none of which run perfectly but each will get me out of a bind. rpr383 - can we take a vote on this? ![]()

Maybe you could have your wife practice a saying that I have..."If you can't get out of it, then get into it." ---meaning, get her involved in your interests by liking your cubs, perhaps by painting the 105 pink & white (a Cubette) or having a "his" and "hers" cub (of course if she really gets ticked off at you it might be a "his" and a "HEARSE" cub!!). My gal was elated when I offered to paint one pink for her own personal use. Why not, John Deere has a Jane Deere that is painted pink and white...
Reserve one for mowing and the other one for snow blowing---since the snow blowers aren't the funnest thing to put on one of the cubs anyway!! Especially if she sees how long it take for you to convert over from mower to blower!! But if push comes to shove, keep the 1450!!!....Then do a little shoving of your own back at her hobbies or interests. Cub Cadet 123 |

I think you can use the money from the 1450 and realy pump up the 105. May be with the 16hp which by todays standards is a 20hp. {so I'am told} That 105 is nice.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
