Omg, that's like a cross between something that Keith Carlin would do for the lighting and I would do for the siren

They will definitely like this more. I had two of them, I liked them at first until I got my 147. I never realized what a good tractor was like.

That is Hillarious!!!! In a way he did a pretty decent job of what he did there when you understand he pretty much meant the whole thing as an attention getter. Best part is the guy is huge, looks like a clown riding a tricycle!

Rescue, you are a good man to give up that machine. It looks so nice I'd be tempted to keep it for self.

Thanks guys!

The backstory to all of this in short version. My mother-in-law broke her ankle a couple years back and it's never quite healed right. Since their box store deer is foot controlled she hasn't been able to use it since. With my father-in-law working a bunch of hours at the power plant because nppd refuses to hire extra help, he doesn't have much time to mow the grass. Mowing is something my mother-in-law has always enjoyed and when she made the comment to me about wanting something to be able to control without using her ankle the 1864 was a no-brainer.

It's like it was meant to be almost, because like Lou and Todd, 1864 is really don't come for sale around here very often especially in good shape. Those two things are very very seldom ever combined with a good price. The 1864 that I purchased was listed online 4 less than a day from when she told me that she was wanting something she could mow with. So I am purchasing it with the intent to gift it to my in-laws for all the times that my mother-in-law has come down to watch my daughter while we are planting or combining.

My wife's great grandma bought a 782 brand new in Iowa many years ago. My mother-in-law has put lots of hours on that machine as well as my wife. If I could ever find that machine I would pay good money to have it just for their memory sake. But that was my reassurance that she could run this machine because it is essentially a 782.

Well I guess that wasn't a very short story, but I felt it was necessary to put the story with the machine. If they decide that they don't want it I'll probably just keep it for now but was limited shed space I'd probably end up selling it. Hopefully the next time I post on this page will be when I have this 1864 in my possession. Have a good day all!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
