My fault I guess. The valve was for a 1250 and even said for Quietlines, but looking at the picture again it clearly doesn't have the screen. I went back and looked and there were two listed and neither one has the screen.
![]() Another key word I noticed was "aftermarket". |

I just saw the picture it looks right according to the superseded part number. My older wide frames had the petcock style with screen and My 800 had a black pull knob on it. Hmmm

Interesting. Your previous post with the screen shot shows 2 different ones for the quietlines. The moose posted the first one and you posted the second one that you show in Parts tree. And now Lews shows one that appears to have the screen and the knob. Again.......hmmmmm

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
