As they say, everything isn't always what it seems.
 Engine is toast.I got it to turn over a little bit. Was making one hell of a clatter, rattle, so stopped there.  I pulled the engine, was thinking about taking it apart to see what went wrong, but I'm now having second thoughts, cause I ain't going to stick anything into this money pit... Thinking about cutting my losses, keeping the good seat, and offering it to anybody that wants to pick it up, for what I have in it. Nothing/free... These things aren't high on my want to keep it around list anyway. Figured for free, I'd give it a look see, and fix it up, and flip it, but there's not enough meat on the bone for that. So if anyone here wants it, it's yours for the price of fuel to get here and load it up, or it's going outback with the other parts tractors. PM me if you're interested.

Smart move Todd to not put any $$ into it. Part it out. Super steer front axle is a good upgrade for the 82 series, get up with Jeff in Pa maybe he can use the drive shaft. Wheels are probably worth something. PTO may be something to sell. Engine may have some value, same for the mower + mule. Axles + diff are worth &150 -$180 for the pullers. Pump maybe $50

Well, it's going down the road tomorrow. Talked with a guy today, and he wants it, and he got it for the same price. Free!!!
He can do with it what he wishes, I'm rid of the thing. Sure, there was money to be made, parting it myself, but if someone else wants to either fix it, or part it, I'm okay with that...

Darn it. Would have liked to see a member get it, but it is now gone. Guy came when he said he would. Asked him what his plans were. He said a father son project.
I told him about OCC, and said, "you have a project", shook hands, and wished him luck. It's all good.

I'm sure you would have liked to have it go to a OCC member, but take pleasure in knowing that it's now a father and son project. Bringing those two together over this project will have a positive effect on that boys life. Time spent learning with his Dad in a shop environment is bonding beyond all compare. Good for you! Well done sir!
