Man this was hard to do. Finally tore into the 105, mowed with this thing half the summer. It was a little rough to look at but it's like a Swiss watch. But at the end of the day it deserves a facelift. Going for another 50 years.

Finally got some paint on this weekend. Going a little slower than I want, but what’s the hurry? Still looking for a sleeve hitch and a three turn column. I’m sure I’ll find both about a week after I put it all together with my luck.

Nate,
Where are you located in Missouri, I may be able to help you out with the hitch.

I’m in Festus, about 45 miles south of St Louis. It’s so much easier to install a hitch when it’s bare frame, same goes for the column. My dads 104 has a three turn column and its definitely easier to steer than my 125, thought they would be easier to find than they are.

Looks like it has a good 48" deck on it too.

It actually has a 42 inch deck when I got it. Put the 48 from the 125 on it this summer. The 42 just needs new baffles welded and it will be fine.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
