This is for a neighbor who is very lazy about maintenance. I'm thinking bed liner would last for the season and prevent more rust after I've cleaned and painted.

Fluid film has been out a for a number of years. I got a free can when they were new to the scene.
Never have used it on the deck though. I wirewheel and do quickie WHITE paint job every season on every mower. Nothing lasts. I use white so i can easily see where the build up is.

Fluid Film is the best stuff to protect my daily drivers from the effects of road salt. I'm sure it would work well on decks.

When I first get a deck I coat the underside with POR 15, followed by a couple of coats of graphite coating. Then, once a year or so I wire wheel them clean and re apply the graphite.

I picked up a can of EZ-Slide Graphite-based coating from TSC. I sandblasted the bottom and primered it and so I heard this stuff was pretty good so I'll give it a shot.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
