Default Xenoy...

Great information!! My Dad worked for GE 40+ years. He finished up as the GE plant manager in Twinsburg, Ohio before they sold the plant to Reuter-Stokes.

I thought he mentioned that xenoy was a GE developed product. Thanks for confirming and info on the company that bought GE plastics division. BTW is Sabic still in business?

SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corporation) is owned by Saudi Aramco. Saudi Aramco bought the 157 year old American company Valvoline Global Products in 2023 for 2.65 billion. So all Valvoline lubricants and products are ARAMCO. Valvoline Corp. solely focuses on their drive-in 10 minute oil change centers.

The SABIC website is at sabic.com/en

Default Cyclops...

So, SABIC/Aramco is a Saudi Arabian owned company that sells Valvoline oil in the United States? Is the oil imported from Saudi Arabia? If so, I will be switching back to Mobil 1!!!

Does SABIC make any products with xenoy plastic, or is the xenoy plastic formula obsolete by today's standards?

Thanks for the info!

SABIC still makes and provides Xenoy resins to many different industries.

Valvoline prior to the sale utilized crude from the US. The Valvoline-Aramco crude comes from all over the world with the majority coming from Saudi Arabia. What percentage of US crude is used in their North American market, only ARAMCO knows. Ashland Oil spun off Valvoline in 2017. So no longer a storied, American company. Just another name.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
