I'm with Merk...for a few dollars more you can have far superior auto paint.
This is PPG Shop Line in the correct colors for a 100. 085_finish (Medium).jpg 082_finish (Medium).jpg |

What does one consider " a few dollars more".....the Valspar yellow is 11.95 QT at TSC....I realize the auto type paint is very good, but is the Valspar that bad ?

Rick, "that bad" depends on what you want for a finished product. The valspar is OK paint when you add hardener, but the durability is not going to be near as good with auto paint. plus auto paint will look far better and I think shoot easier than valspar. If you're going to work the snot out of it, go valspar.. If you are going to use it and show it, then I would highly recomemd auto paint. This is the PPG Shopline paint on my CCO ![]() I will be doing the 682 this spring, and I am pondering which to use myself. I work the 682 far more than I do the CCO

If the auto paint isn't all that much more I'd probably still go with that since it'll hold up better even if it is a worker.

ive did a set of weights (yellow) and a set of rims (white) with valspar rattle cans. you dont notice really easily but the yellow is more orange and the white is a tanner version of the white. they look perfectly fine on a work tractor but i wouldnt use it on a show piece. i also heard the valspar fades kind of easy

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
