Some guys have nice homebuilt models, too. Kwikway still makes em brand new and IIRC, they are around the $3000 range?? The Dancos, older Kwikways, and Johnsons range from $500-$1200 range depending on what they look like, model, if they work, and location. This is usually for just the loader. Ya might find a good deal and get one for the lower range or less.

Update on my loader. It's one the 129 and works like a dream. I plan to snap some pics today and will get em posted. Need to get some weight on the rear, though.
Pretty good info there on pricing!

There is still a huge snow pile I was going to hack at. Oh well. Next on the list is loaded ags and some sort of weight box. Then I'll work on beefing up the front end with spindles, etc. Here are the pics. Enjoy.
That looks so good! Has it stopped raining yet?

Nah, not yet. And to top it off, the frost is still trying to work itself out of the ground. Talk about a sloppy mess!! I even hate letting the dog out because he seems to find all the mud holes.

That loader looks great. I have a johnson loader and was wondering if any one knows where to get cylinder parts. I got a leaky lift ram that needs new seals. I dint want to pull any thing apart with out access to replacement parts. You know what I mean.

The loader looks great on the 129! I have never seen a loader on a wide frame before.

Most cylinders don't have anything exotic for seals, just a few O-rings and a lip seal for the rod. Pull one apart, remove the O-rings, and get suitable replacements.

Thanks for the well written reply! I'll keep my eyes open for a loader that needs a home!

I have a neighbor that has a small garden tractor with a loader sitting outside. I don't know the make of the tractor. However, I do know this guy will not sell it. He says that it needs the steering fixed. Since I've asked him about it, he has purchased a larger tractor with a cab and loader. He wants to fix it and take it to his cabin.

Just keep "inquiring" about it every once in a while. He may eventually sell it to ya, especially since he got a different one with a cab. Also keep your eyes peeled for a Johnson, Kwikway, etc. on a different brand tractor. They could be modified to fit a Cub Cadet. Stay away from the green painted ones. Those are usually made of gold if ya know what I mean (ka-ching).

Thanks for all the comments guys. Really itching to get it outside to move around some dirt, err, mud .

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
