Default Thank You

Thanks to all for your help. I just got a little fustrated with this today. This tractor at one time had a mower deck, I know this because I have all the orginal Operator manuels and have the mower deck one. The guy I got this from sold the deck and took off the front mower bracket with the pullies and sold it allso. The blade attaches to this assembly. When I get the deck redone its going to be a nightmare allso. He took the Hydraulic pump off and gave it to a friend to fix . Couln't fix it and threw it out. I will be getting one I just hope it matches up to the parts left on the Tractor. for now I'll just get the brakets only $24.00 for the pair.

Where in NY are you ? The subframe I have has a pin like what Diz has but on the inside and has a hole above the pin to bolt to the 1X2 frame. The pin located below the hole is to allow use on QA frames like my 73. This blade and subframe I have was on my 102 and now on my 73.

Cool Blade

If it helps, I recently bought a blade for my 123 that was on a 127 or 149. I had to bolt it on and use spacers to accommodate the gaps between it and the subframe. I had to remove my mule drive and just let the rods that are welded on just hang under the subframe---a little sloppy fit, but made more solid with the spacers and some washers. it does have to bolt on though. Nonetheless, it is a very solid blade and I think that you will be happy with its performance!!! I actually saw two of them for sale on eBay recently for $50---a super deal!!!

I finally got the plow hooked up!!The problem was that I was not reading one part of the installation instructions. When putting the sub frame on the foot rest rod you have to spread the slotted ends of the subframe on the outside of the rod bracket and in the lift bracket then it bolts right on to the frame in front. I also put my hydraulic pump on today and it picks the plow right up and down. Again thanks to all you guys for your help.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
