Got to putting the pto on the 71, had to pull the bearing out as it wasn't flush with crank shaft. I'm waiting for parts from ccspecialties for the pto and snowblower. As soon as I get those I'll have the 71/cc36 in action:biggrin2.gif:. Also went to swap out driveshafts on my O's so I could pull the creeper and take a look inside, only thing is I can't get the creeper unit off, it wobbles around and moves outward a tiny bit but I can't seem to get it to come off. Feels like it wants to pop off, like a rubber seal is holding it on? Anybody have any ideas??

I tried to get a friend at work to buy a Cub 147 with 48 inch mower deck. It has a newer, black, 12 hp in it. I think the seller wants $300. Is that a good price? It has the electric lift. It needs tires all around, dry rotted and or damaged electrical wiring (not charging), seat is bad, minor fire damage etc. normal Cub stuff.
Regards, Chris

Having a newer engine in it, if it is good, I would not think twice at that price, but, those 147's are rare as hen's teeth here in my part of the world. I had one a few years ago and did NOT know then what I had... . That won't ever happen again. And then again, you have to decide if a price is good for you. I would probably pay more for a couple of particular cubs I want than others here would pay, but for me, it is worth it. In the end, is it worth it to you? I am hoping to have some $$$ left over on tax returns to find me one, maybe two more cubs next year, and a 147 will definitely be one of those. A 169 that my local cub dealer personally owns will be the second one.

To brighten her up a bit.
Been looking for headlights for the # 122 for about 3 months now.
No way was I gonna spend $100/130 for headlights. Some guy on e-bay sprayed some part on a set & they went for $ 184.00, gulp. Found this deal on Craigs list, 1 year old belt, mowing deck in better shape than what I have, complete front with lights, lower unit & hood. Fender? Well, re-sell them? Could pass up the $125.00 asking price, & offered $ 100.00 & he said YES. The guy is gonna extend the # 122 he's got & gonna convert it into a choo choo train for the kids & his business for advertisment purpose's.. Nik, Poor phone pic, but everything is GOOD. Why does everyone use a Cub Cadet hood for storing stuff? |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
