Nice work guys. Looks like you've all been busy.
Yesterday, I rewired my 126 since the wiring was a mess when I got it. I tried starting it but the battery didn't have enough charge in it to get the engine to start. It did fire a couple times but that was it. Tomorrow, I'll try the battery out of my 100 and see if it'll start then. Hopefully, I can charge up the battery and not have to buy another one.

Well I got the 682 out to mulch leaves on the neighbors yard with my son. My boys earn $50 bucks a shot at cutting grass for the neighbors and they wanted the yard cleared of leaves too. (3.0 acres) My son was on the JD 345 and I was on the 682; he followed right behind me. I had the deck pulled up high to mulch and he came through with a cut and finish mulch. We knocked the leaves down real quick, it was good to watch 13 year old learn the tricks of leaf management
The 682 started to backfire at the end but I managed to finish. Thinking it was a lean condition I sprayed a little carb cleaner on the carb mounting base. She perked right up when I sprayed so I thought I had the problem nailed. I pulled the carb to check the gasket, oddly it was a loose choke cable that caused the choke to not open all the way making it run rich. WHATEVER. She's back together now and running way too good for the $200 I spent to buy her. I love this tractor!!!!!!!!!!! Weaverama |

Got home from a very long day at work and sitting on my doorstep was my parts:biggrin2.gif:. I just spent the last 4 hours working on the cubs, mainly the 71. I rebuilt the pto and installed that, got the bronze pto button too. Hooked up the rod then reinstalled the blower that has a new wear edge and 14t sprocket! Replaced the retainer rings on my O's creeper and now it works perfectly

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
